Marie Sophie Hauzel, geboren am 1. Dezember 2000, begann mit 4 Jahren Klavier zu lernen und wurde mit 8 Jahren als Jungstudentin am Mozarteum in Salzburg aufgenommen. Mit 15 Jahren war sie die jüngste Vollstudentin an der Universität Mozarteum Salzburg und schloss dort mit 20 Jahren ihr Bachelor-Studium ab. Derzeit absolviert sie ihren Master an der Musikhochschule München und hat als Solistin bereits mit renommierten Orchestern in Europa, den USA und China konzertiert, darunter bei den Salzburger Festspielen und im Wiener Konzerthaus.

My story

Marie Sophie Hauzel, born on December 1, 2000, began piano lessons at the age of 4. At 8, she became a young student at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, studying under Professor Andreas Weber. Concurrently pursuing her academic education, she studied concert piano, becoming the youngest full-time student at the University Mozarteum Salzburg at the age of 15, completing her bachelor's degree at 20.

 

In 2023, she earned her master's degree at the Munich University of Music under the guidance of Professor Markus Bellheim. Throughout her studies, she received additional instruction and masterclasses from renowned piano educators and professors, including Rudolf Buchbinder, Cyprien Katsaris, Lang Lang, Arnulf von Arnim, Karl Heinz Kämmerling, and Andreas Groethuysen.

 

As a soloist, Marie has performed with orchestras such as the Philharmonie Luxembourg, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Camerata Salzburg, Zurich Chamber Orchestra, Shenzhen Philharmonic, Duisburg Philharmonic, Folkwang Orchestra Essen, Philharmonie Bad Reichenhall, Young Symphony Berlin, and the Venezuelan El Sistema Orchestra. She has toured numerous European countries, the USA, and China, appearing at prestigious events like the Salzburg Festival, Salzburg Mozart Week, Kissinger Sommer, Schleswig Holstein Festival, Mecklenburg Vorpommern Festival, Gezeitenfestival, and Mozart Festival in Shenzhen. Her performances include venues such as the Vienna Konzerthaus, Munich Gasteig, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Shenzhen Concert Hall, National Cenutre of Performing Arts in China, Munich Herkulessaal, Philharmonie Essen, and Konzerthaus Dortmund. Marie has garnered awards in various national and international competitions, including the International Balys Dvarionas Competition, International Jenö Takasc Competition, International Hans von Bülow Competition, and the Carl Bechstein Competition.

 

Winning top prizes with full scores at Jugend musiziert led to her receiving scholarships from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the Carl Bechstein Foundation. She is also a scholarship recipient of the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund.

 

Marie has been featured in several television and cultural programs, such as her portrait on "Stars von morgen" - ZDF with Rolando Villazon, and her appearance on "Wir spielen für Österreich" - ORF.
